Thats between the two of us: The Nokia now works perfectly on the UK’s O2 service albeit at a pitiful morem, and I even took half a dozen photographs with the phone, transferred them to my iBook, then sent them via the telephone attached to an e-mail. I do hope there is one out there So, unless I’m in the dark probably and it’s been doing that by some other protocol, I don’t know what’s going on.

Fortunately that bluetooth problem is now resolved in this new handset, the GPRS modem problem described above is still there! 6230j only activate GPRS when I’m actually surfing, so the connection is generally idle for less that half a minute at a time. I never discovered what the problem was other than painstakingly repeating the pairing and bluetooth dial-up settings until both the phone and the computer believed me. Certainly no complaints here. As long as it is appropriately signed out, I’m covered.
